American Authors, originally known as Blue Pages, was formed by Zac Barnett, James Adam Shelley, Dave Rublin, and Matt Sanchez while they were all attending Berklee College of Music in Boston. In the early days, Blue Pages stayed local, recording several EPs that showcased their unique sound. Some of their notable EPs include "Surrounded by Wolves," "Bear Fight," "Night Hawke," "Anthropology," and "Rich With Love." In 2012, Blue Pages underwent a name change and officially became American Authors.
