About American Authors

American Authors, originally known as Blue Pages, was formed by Zac Barnett, James Adam Shelley, Dave Rublin, and Matt Sanchez while they were all attending Berklee College of Music in Boston. These four talented musicians had a shared passion for creating music that was both relatable and powerful, and thus began their journey as a band.

In the early days, Blue Pages stayed local, recording several EPs that showcased their unique sound. Some of their notable EPs include "Surrounded by Wolves," "Bear Fight," "Night Hawke," "Anthropology," and "Rich With Love." These releases gave listeners a taste of what was to come from this promising group.

In 2012, Blue Pages underwent a name change and officially became American Authors. This marked a significant turning point in their career, as they started to gain recognition and attract the attention of major record labels.
