This led to Cobra Starship being signed to Decaydance Records, a label owned by Pete Wentz, the bassist of Fall Out Boy.

In 2006, Cobra Starship released their debut album "While The City Sleeps, We Rule The Streets." This album, written, recorded, and co-produced by Saporta himself, showcased the band's penchant for infectious hooks and energetic melodies. With contributions from Ryland Blackinton and Alex Suarez, who would later join the band, Cobra Starship created a sound that blended the best elements of synthpop and dance, giving them a unique identity in the music landscape.
