Gzuz, also known as Kristoffer Jonas Klauß, was born on June 29, 1988, in Hamburg, Germany. He is a renowned German rapper and a member of the 187 Strassenbande, a hip-hop collective.

About Gzuz

Gzuz became a member of the 187 Strassenbande when it was founded in 2006 by his colleague, Bonez MC, who was already involved in the rap scene, and the graffiti artist Frost. Inspired by Bonez, Gzuz was encouraged to start rapping as well.

Two years later, in 2008, Gzuz released his first song. His talent quickly caught the attention of the rap community, and in 2009, he participated in the band's first sampler album.

In 2010, Gzuz faced legal troubles and was sentenced to three and a half years in prison for robbery. During his incarceration, the rest of the crew, including Bonez MC, Sa4, AchtVier, and Maxwell, organized a "Free Gzuz-Tour" in 2012 to show their solidarity.

Gzuz's career took off after his early release in 2013. He collaborated with Bonez MC on the album "High & Hungrig," which reached number 9 on the German album charts and marked a breakthrough for the 187 Strassenbande. The following year, Gzuz released his debut solo album, "Ebbe & Flut," which impressively hit number 2 on the charts.

Gzuz continued to contribute to the success of the 187 Strassenbande, participating in their third sampler album and collaborating on the album "Obststand" by LX & Maxwell. The band's popularity only grew stronger.

It was in 2016 that Gzuz and Bonez MC achieved their first number 1 album on the German charts with "High & Hungrig 2." The massive hype surrounding them was further fueled by the collaboration album "Palmen aus Plastik" by Bonez MC and RAF Camora, where Gzuz was featured on the song "Mörder." Both "Mörder" and "High & Hungrig 2" reached gold status.

Gzuz's second solo album, "Wolke 7," came out in May 2018, debuting at number 1 on the charts and also achieving gold status.
