Born on February 17, 1940, and sadly departing from our lives on December 12, 2021, Fernández was an accomplished Mexican singer, actor, and film producer. His immense talent earned him the well-deserved title of "El Rey de la Música Ranchera" (The King of Ranchera Music). But his journey to stardom was not an easy one. Fernández began his career singing for tips on the street and gradually rose to become a cultural icon, leaving an indelible mark on the music industry with over 50 albums and contributions to more than 30 films.

Sadly, his battle wasn't over, as he was readmitted to the hospital on November 30th, 2021, due to pneumonia. Ultimately, it was complications arising from his injuries that led to his passing on December 12th, 2021.
