Why Don’t We is a multi-talented boy band that has taken the music world by storm. Comprising of Daniel Seavey, Zach Herron, Corbyn Besson, Jonah Marais, and Jack Avery, these young musicians have captivated audiences with their infectious energy, impressive vocals, and undeniable talent. But their journey to success wasn't overnight. Each member gained recognition individually through their presence on social media, posting covers and doing live streams that showcased their immense musical abilities.

One of the band's standout moments came when Daniel Seavey, who had previously contested on American Idol, joined forces with Zach, Corbyn, Jonah, and Jack to form Why Don’t We. Since then, their star has been on a steady rise. In September 2016, they officially started their activities with the release of the singles "Taking You" and "Nobody Gotta Know," along with their EP "Only The Beginning."

2017 proved to be a breakthrough year for the band, thanks to the release of their hit single "Something Different." This track propelled them into the spotlight, and they went on to release four EPs, showcasing their versatility and talent as a group. Notably, they collaborated with popular YouTuber Logan Paul, who also directed several of their music videos, further boosting their popularity.

In 2018, Why Don’t We achieved their highest accomplishment to date with the release of the Ed Sheeran-written single "Trust Fund Baby," which reached #2 on the American iTunes Chart. Building on this success, they released three more singles and dropped their eagerly anticipated first full-length album, "8 Letters," on August 31st. The album spawned the chart-topping single "Talk," surpassing their previous record on the iTunes Chart.

As 2019 rolled in, the boys had big plans in store for their fans. They announced their intention to release one song per month, leading up to their highly anticipated sophomore album. Throughout the year, they dropped captivating tracks, including the Macklemore collaboration "I Don't Belong In This Club" and the soundtrack feature "Don't Change" for the movie "UglyDolls." Alongside their new releases, the band embarked on a tour in support of their album "8 Letters," showcasing their incredible stage presence and further solidifying their position in the music industry.

August 2019 marked an important milestone as Why Don’t We released "What Am I," a secretive project that they had been keeping under wraps for a significant period of time. Written by Ed Sheeran, the song served as a special gift to their fans before their tour came to an end. The band promoted this track extensively and even released an acoustic version in September. Closing out the year, they dropped "Chills" in December, concluding their monthly release saga.

After a nine-month hiatus, Why Don’t We returned with a bang in September, unveiling their single "Fallin'," followed by the release of their much-anticipated sophomore album, "The Good Ones and The Bad Ones," at the beginning of 2021. The album showcased their growth as artists and served as a testament to their undeniable talent and dedication.

Unfortunately, despite their immense success, the band faced setbacks in the form of legal battles with their ex-production company, Signature Entertainment. As of July 2022, the band had embarked on another hiatus, putting their future plans on hold as they navigated through this challenging period.
